About the Organization

Founded in 2000, Fondation Émergence is a pioneering Quebec organization dedicated to raising awareness, education, and advocacy for the rights of people from sexual and gender diversity communities.

Recognized for its inclusive and accessible approach, the Foundation takes concrete action to help build a society where everyone — regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression — can live fully with dignity, respect, and acceptance.

As part of our strategic expansion plan, we are seeking to recruit local collaborators who will embody our mission on the ground and help build more inclusive communities across Canada.

Job Description

We are looking for members of the LGBTQ+ community who wish to share their life stories as part of our professional training sessions.

As a testimonial speaker, your role is to give a human face and an authentic voice to the issues addressed, particularly in educational and professional environments.

Your story, shared in a clear and impactful way, will help concretely illustrate the concepts presented by our trainers.

We are seeking individuals with diverse life experiences (e.g., workplace transition, LGBTQ+ seniors’ experiences, etc.) to enrich the relevance of our training programs.

Share your life journey in a clear, concise, and inspiring way.

Connect your personal story with the training themes to reinforce the concepts presented.

Respond diplomatically to sometimes direct questions from participants.

Explain realities related to sexual and gender diversity in an accessible way.

Adapt your message for different audiences, including corporate, community, and educational environments.

Selection Criteria

Be a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

Be comfortable speaking publicly about your life journey in a concise way.

Be able to share challenges from your journey while emphasizing hope and solutions.

Have strong communication skills.

Demonstrate reliability and availability for specific scheduled dates.

Have relevant life experience related to our training topics.

Ability and willingness to travel within the Capitale-Nationale region.
